# Selling a basket

Users can sell part of their position or close it fully.

The interface can offer simple options such as:

```
Sell 25%
Sell 50%
Close position
```

When a sell order starts, the corresponding basket units are locked. The system calculates the proportional share of the basket assets, sells those assets, bridges Base USDC back to Solana if needed, takes the sell fee, sends Solana USDC to the user, and burns the units.

Users do not pick which individual tokens to sell.

This is intentional. The basket is treated as one position. Selling means exiting a proportional share of the entire basket, not manually breaking it apart.

The user receives the actual realized USDC minus the sell fee.
