# What happens when a user buys

The default deposit asset is Solana USDC.

When a user clicks `Copy Basket`, they enter the amount they want to deposit. The app shows an estimated execution plan before the order is sent.

After the user confirms the deposit, the order becomes pending. At this point, the user does not yet own new basket units. The system still needs to execute the required swaps, bridge USDC if the basket has Base exposure, and settle the assets into the basket.

A simplified example:

```
User deposits: 100 USDC
Basket fee: 1 USDC
Net invested: 99 USDC
```

If the basket target is 70% Solana assets and 30% Base assets, the system may use 69.3 USDC to buy Solana assets, bridge 29.7 USDC to Base, and then buy the Base assets there.

The exact execution can vary depending on available routes, liquidity, and market conditions.

Once all legs are completed and the assets are swept into the basket vault, the user receives basket units. Only then does the position become active.
